Hi Again! Here’s a little more about me and my story………………..
We began trying for a family shortly after getting married back in 2006……
I fell pregnant 2 months later but unfortunately this ended in a miscarriage and our story began. It culminated a decade later with the arrival of my first daughter at the age of 38, after a natural conception. 18 months later I had my second daughter who was also conceived naturally. Along the way, I experienced recurrent miscarriages and underwent 3 rounds of IVF.
After our 1st miscarriage, we tried for a further year before seeing our GP. We were referred for further investigation. We were diagnosed with ‘unexplained infertility’ but years later I now know that it was probably more like ‘unexplored infertility’. Scans showed polycystic ovaries and also a fibroid, which wasn’t big enough to warrant its removal. My husband’s semen analysis wasn’t ideal and I remember we had a little giggle about being told that some of them were a little funny looking and swimming in the wrong direction! We were referred for IVF and although I fell pregnant with all 3 rounds, they all ended with miscarriage around 10-11 weeks, which was utterly heartbreaking.
During this time, I was working full-time as a Paediatric Dietitian in a busy NHS hospital, surrounded each day by babies and children, I was quietly facing recurrent miscarriages, IVF cycles, and the silent heartbreak of it all. With no space to share my feelings with someone who truly understood, I learned to bottle things up and carry on. Eventually, the emotional strain led to a diagnosis of depression. That chapter shaped me in ways I couldn’t have imagined, deepening my empathy and planting the seed for the support I offer today.
After taking a short career break to spend time with my daughters, I retrained as a Fertility Coach and Reproductive Support Specialist. I firmly believe that the shift in mindset and self-care played a vital role in helping me conceive naturally. Stepping back gave me clarity and now I guide others through the same maze with compassion, clinical insight, and unwavering support. I offer a safe space where you can feel heard, understood, and informed throughout your own fertility journey.
‘When it comes to infertility, I am passionate about looking at the bigger picture!
‘I believe that fertility is influenced by more than just medical factors. I take into account nutrition, lifestyle, and mindset because they each play a role in supporting reproductive health. My approach focuses on creating balance between the body and mind, helping you feel prepared both physically and emotionally.’
With over 20 years as an NHS Dietitian and more than a decade of personal fertility experience, I bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to my practice. I’m skilled at meeting people where they are and creating a space where they feel safe, heard and supported.
